At Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, we give our all to keep loving homes whole and keep pets where they belong, with their families. When that's not possible, we take them in and love them as if they're our own. We give every dog and cat the best level of care possible, from food and healthcare to toys and training. However, with no government funding and a steep rise in our bills, we rely entirely on the generosity of people like you to make our Home a home.

Meet our rehomed animals
When she came to us, Juno was covered in flea dirt, suffering from an eye ulcer, missing her front teeth and shockingly underweight. With love, Juno recovered and has now found a happy home with Amy and her family.
Sweet, sensitive Mona was brought to us having been badly let down by humans in her past. With space and time, her personality shone through then, after almost a year with us, she was ready for her forever home.
Cookie was taken to the vet, when she was found as a stray, and diagnosed with multiple illnesses. After a long time, her condition improved and she was rehomed to Thom, her perfect match.
It took months for Luna's new owner to be able to take her for an outdoor walk as she was so nervous. Cath is an incredibly dedicated owner who's made many accommodations to help Luna who is getting braver every day!
Mr Biscuits came to us malnourished, battle-scarred and very scared. He was rehomed with Judith and her family, who had previously rehomed another cat from us, and has settled into his forever home well.
Margot needed elbow surgery before she was ready to be rehomed. Thankfully, she’s healed up well and settled into her forever home with a new little sister, Mouse, and big brother, Quail.
