Can you help injured and unwanted animals in need?

Raystede rescues and rehomes dogs, cats and small animals, as well as providing care for horses, ponies, donkeys, tortoises, terrapins, goats and sheep. With rising costs for food, bedding, heating and veterinary treatment, every day is a struggle, but we are determined to do everything we can for the animals who need us.

Meet our rescue animals

Greyhounds like Proki are often sadly overlooked due to misconceptions about their breed. Proki spent six months in our kennels before moving to his forever home in July 2023.

Sapphire arrived nursing both emotional wounds and a flea infestation. Our team spent dedicated time with her every day, helping her heal and building trust. She has now been rehomed and loves bedtime cuddles.

Waldo came to us as a stray. He was severely underweight and in pain. We created a care plan for him while he waited patiently for his forever home. He now enjoys pottering around the garden and snoozing in front of the fire.

Whisper was nervous at first, but, with patience and positive reinforcement, she came on leaps and bounds. A new owner spent three days a week with her at Raystede over the course of several weeks before they went home together.

Bramble, Ash, Fern, Foxglove and Bluebell were found in a box left in Abbot's Wood, in desperate need of food and care. Now micro-chipped and neutered, they are thriving with new loving owners.

Little Domino the goat had a tough start to life, diagnosed with pneumonia when he arrived at Raystede. With treatment, he is beginning to recover. Once he's up to full strenght, he'll be ready for a new loving home.
