Our rescue centre aims to provide a safe haven for up to 1000 cats per year, but with rising costs over the past few years, we are struggling to keep going. We can't do it without your support.
By playing the Yorkshire Cat Rescue lottery for just £2 per week, you will be helping us to give every animal that comes through our rescue the love and care that they need. You will also be in with a chance of winning up to £10,000.

Oogie was handed into the vets with her leg crushed. She had surgery to remove her leg, recuperated and is now thriving in her forever home. She is living her best life in comfort.
Myrtle was a feral kitten rescued from under a shed with her mother and brother. With YCR’s help, she transformed from frightened to a confident kitten and is now settled into her forever home.
Priscilla was dumped hours old in a field without her mum. She had a serious infection, lost part of her nose and had an operation for a hernia but the little warrior survived and has now been adopted.
Hemsworth was handed in with a swollen, infected leg. After rest and antibiotics, he recovered and is now happy in his forever home.
Fawn and Lyra were abandoned when their owners moved house. Luckily, a neighbour noticed them outside and brought them to YCR, and after a short time in a foster, they were adopted together.
Onyx came to YCR with a severe case of Swimmer Syndrome. It is treatable if caught early enough, but at 7 weeks old the outcome was unknown. However, after weeks of physiotherapy, he was ready for his forever home.
By playing our lottery you can help us to reunite lost cats with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted.

I’d definitely recommend YCR; they are fab! They are really good at what they do, caring and hard-working. We are so glad to have adopted from them as the process was smooth and we love our little kitten.

Working with the cats and helping them find new loving homes is incredibly rewarding. It’s a privilege to be able to take care of them until they’re ready to join a new family.

I had to rehome a stray that was abandoned and they were so nice and friendly. The pens are spacious and comfortable; the cat settled in and made itself at home straight away.
